Cricket Fines

As is customary in the game of English cricket, fines are issued game by game, this money is collect and then used for the end of season party.

Below is the breakdown of what a player can be fined for. All fines are final and to be collected by the “Fines Administrator”, no back chat will be tolerated and 20p will be added for every word utted. (Ignorance is no excuse) Fines must be paid in full, interest will be charged at 20p / day late. Minimum fines per game is £ 1.00 and maximum is £ 3.00

Team Fines

Game won each player starts on ( – 50p )

Game lost each player starts on  ( + 50p )

Team failure to score 100 runs    ( + 50p )

Man of the match                          ( – 50p )

Player Fines

–      1. Batting

  • Golden Duck          ( 1-6 = 80 p ) and ( 7 – 11 = 40p)
  • Duck                      ( 1-6 = 40 p ) and ( 7 – 11 = 20p)
  • Run out                  ( 20p for both players )
  • Score  1 – 9                                     ( 30p )
  • Score  45 – 49                                  ( 30p )
  • Score  95 – 99                                  ( 30p )
  • Lowest score                                   ( 20p )

–      2. Bowling

  • Conceded 4.5 – 6 runs an over   ( 20 p / over )
  • Conceded 6 + runs an over         ( 30 p / over )
  • Wides / No balls                           ( 5 p / extra )
  • 4 Wickets                                     ( 30 p )
  • Hit for a 6                                      ( 20 p )

–      3. Fielding (20p / law broken)

  • Dropped Catch or no attempt to catch a ball
  • Miss field or no attempt to stop a ball
  • Slackness or not trying hard enough
  • Quietness on the field
  • Using feet to stop the ball
  • Missing an easy run out
  • Over throw per run
  • Not walking in with the bowler

–      4. General  (20p / law broken)

  • Arriving Late
  • Refusing to umpire
  • Refusing to score
  • Shouting what we doing after coin toss
  • Unsportsmanlike conduct
  • Dirty Whites
  • Smelly socks
  • Eating before opposition
  • Not showering
  • Not congratulating a wicket
  • New Kit
  • Non white kit
  • Not warming up
  • Not helping the tea lady
  • Not helping the grounds keeper
  • Not helping move the side screens
  • Excessive flatulence
  • Excessive swearing
  • Not chatting up any single women
  • Being offensive or aggressive in any way
  • Excessive back chat on the field
  • Umpire intimidation or excessive appealing
  • Worst joke of the day
  • Not welcoming opposition
